EXPLORE 65 SITES IN THE HEIGHTS

 

Celebrate the founding of IGH in 1965, by visiting 65 sites throughout the city to learn about the unique history of Inver Grove Heights, while having a chance to win great prizes at the same time.

Join Dakota County Sheriff Tim Leslie, Chief Deputy Joe Leko, IGH Police Chief Melissa Chiodo, Dakota County Attorney Kathy Keena, and Dakota County Commissioner Joe Atkins for casual conversation, cup of coffee, and Q&A. 

HOMETOWN HEROES COOKOUT  4:00 to 6:30pm at Heritage Village Park (65th Street)

 

As a way of showing our community's appreciation, all local first responders, frontline workers,

educators, and medical personnel - and their families - are invited to join us for a free cookout.

Free burgers, hotdogs, chips and beverages provided.

Pick a partner and join in this new fun tournament!

Must register as a team of two. Championship T-shirt provided to first place teams. Tournament T-shirts will be given to all participants. Registered teams will be notified of tournament details. Balls will be provided.

Tournament will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. No refunds.

Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced; Doubles Tournament

• Three groups — separate tournaments

• Best of three games matches (30-45 mins per match)

Hunt for treasure in the park and redeem for great prizes (one prize per child)

Begins on 80th Street and follows Cahill Avenue heading north to Buckley Way

DISC GOLF TOURNAMENT 1:30 PM CHECK IN  2:00 PM START

Grab family and friends, and join this fun tournament!

Must register as a team of two on the day of the event.

BIKE THE BRIDGES 3:00 PM

Join us at the Swing Bridge for a free family bike ride! Route starts at Swing Bridge Park and goes to the Wakota Bridge and back which is about five miles. Bike King will provide bike repair and the Fire Department will supply first aid along the route. IGH Police will also be available. Participants will receive a free gift, beverage, and snack.

Are you the next IGH Days artist? Come show us your drawing skills and have a chance to win a prize!

Participants will have one parking lot spot to create their masterpiece. Chalk is provided.

Age groups  

5 and under

6-9 years old

10-12 years old

Check in begins at 11:30 am in the Bremer Bank parking lot. Artist space is first come first serve; space is limited.

Artists must be completed with their piece by 2 pm. Winners announced at 2:15 pm (one winner for each age group).
